So,
I'm not sure what has happened, but I somehow got the goingonearth.com virus/trojan thingy....I don't even know if this has anything to do with my problem. I do know that since discovering and trying to remove said virus/trojan I have experienced some issues:
1. My folder & picture icons (thumbnails) have gone literally blank when in Large mode. There is NO folder icon, just white
(picture). The folder/picture text is still there. The ACTUAL folder icon shows when in small icon mode, but if I switch to large icons, it stretches the smaller one and makes it VERY pixelated (sp?)
(picture). Anyway, I have screen shots inserted.
2. When deleting a file I've noticed the picture icon associated with it is black

3. I cannot change my desktop picture using the pictures, I can however change the solid color from black to whatever color I want OR I can use a web picture and set it as my desktop. The icons under wallpaper pictures is blank as well

I can assure you that I have unchecked the "Always show icons, never thumbnails" option in the Folder Options under control panel

ANY help would be much appreciated, this is driving me crazy.
