Updates
Hi first time on the board so I am sure I am posting this in the wrong place; that's what all newbies do after all.
I have a vista (pro I think) machine (toshiba equium laptop) which I keep up to date and with office 2007 also installed (H&Student) + Outlook 2007.
I often have issues where the MS updates fail to install after downloading but they usually work after 4-5 attempts if I leave it to install on shutdown.
However, with the latest batch of updates (mostly the office ones), no matter what, they continue to fail. I have attempted to get them maybe 15 times now, both all together, one at a time etc and all I get is the annoying error 57a code that windows update always shows for almost any update problem. I have tried having the CD in while downloading but still nothing.
Having done a search, almost all reference to this issue seems to have been posted years ago.
Anyone out there have the time and knowledge to assist please?
