Hi,
I've seen on the internet a lot of posts and a lot of solutions, but not a really good one. So my question does anybody have a solution, besides never buying an acer again, for this problem:
Somethimes the laptop just works fine, somethimes it gets problems starting and it may take upto 2 hours to get it finally started. What happens:
If you turn the laptop on, somethimes nothing, not even the bios screen, it does beep.
If you turn the laptop on it asks for boot recovery, but is unable to fix it.
Then it might just go on in between these two for a while.
If you choose to start windows normally a black screen will be shown and sometimes you see the light of the HDD flashing.
Very somethimes you can choose for startup in savemode and that works normally, if you are lucky with a reboot througout savemode it works fine again.
I heard solutions that it's a virus, but I don't believe that
I heard solutions, go to last known boot settings, doesn't work, cause no problems are found.
I see it a lot in combination with acer and vista on the internet, anybody any idea if it's a hardware or software issue and how you can solve it?

BTW, why not an Acer:
I know not so many people with one, but already four, including mee, since the beginning problems with the screen (you have to push on the left bottom of the keyboard to solve this), the adapter now is already number 3 in 1 year (no proper guarantee if you move in Europe from one country to another) and heard a few stories that it just totally stopped just after the guarantee period. All this after I bought mine
, but if I may suggest, my Asus is always working...
