Can't install Vista with Windows 7

Here is my problem. I am running Windows 7 on an HP G60 laptop. My FAVORITE CAD program does not run on Windows 7 so I created a new partition on my hard drive so I could load Vista and have a dual boot system. During the Vista install, it stops and tells me it needs a CD/DVD driver. Arghhh. I see that lots of folks have this issue. Any suggestions?
