Error 1603 & trouble removing key
Before and after I try to install Silverlight I get a 1603-error. I removed Silverlight from the list of installed programs and removed the Silverlight folder. Silverlight was not listed in the Windows Installer Cleanup list of programs. I removed HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Silverlight Registry. This all was not sufficient to enable a successful reinstall. In trying to remove other Silverlight (sub)keys in the Registry I ran into the following error with key HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{DFEAF541 [etc]}: "Cannot delete {DFEA541-f3E1-4c24-ACAC-99C30715084A}: Error while deleting key". In its permissions I am listed as Owner with full control.
