Can't find files after Vista to Windows 7 Upgrade
I know they're supposed to be in the Windows.old folder, but there is none. Granted, I should've backed up all the files, but I just did a Vista to Windows 7 upgrade on my computer a couple of weeks ago and didn't have this issue. Did everything the same.

Any suggestions?

-I'm thinking that some data recovery software might help out a bit.

Thanks everyone,

Wade.

There are many data recovery application available online and in market. I had face this kind of error twice and never get my original data back. I don't hink that you will get an optimum solution to what you are seeking for.

Hi, you can't backup your files. For future remember, you'll need to select the Custom option during Windows 7 installation. A custom installation doesn't preserve your programs, files, or settings.
