Please Help! Used the Recovery Disk, now getting problem caused program to stop working correctly, on some programs!
Ok so.... I have a Toshiba laptop, with Vista 32? It was running extrememly slow and programs kept freezing in the middle and saying not responding. I tried virus scans etc. I have Norton 360 on it. Someone told me to use the Toshiba recovery (out of box state) disk.
I did. Computer works, but on some programs I try to run a box pops up saying A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.. yada yada.
I have searched google and pretty much all i find is things for Windows 7. I read that it might be a problem in the registry. So I tried to get a program for that, but I don't want to spend $30.00 if thats not whats wrong, or if its not going to fix my problem.
PLEASE HELP! I'm not sure what to do! Has anyone else had this, how do you repair it, what programs work??
