Nvidia (not signed) drivers

hi I have been having some trouble lately whilst playing games. I play empire and i have noticed that it ctd often either black screen or.... Bsod. this only happens when playing a game. it started when i updated a Gcard driver. have tried to roll back.... but the result is the same... i unistalled the driver and went back to my driver that game with the card... though when i check in device manager they are all unsigned. No green ticks. i have even tried two system restores. So does anyone know why i do not have signed drivers if they came with the card? also when i install the driver i do not get a promt to reboot from the computer? is this right?

Not sure what to do i can play CODMW2 but after a time i get a black screen. what i am thinking about doing is getting windows seven 64bt and refromatting my pc.... well not me the shops. Any advice would be nice.

Hi Gary,
The Nvidia driver gets updated quite often. Just go to the Nvidia web site Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers and download the current version for GTX 280 and Vista 64. It will most likely be signed.

Thanks will try that i have went back to a more stable driver 186.18_desktop_win7_winvista_32bit_english_whql this time i unistalled the driver from device manager then rebooted as promted the computer the finds new hardware, then it will install a driver ,the comp, then i install the driver 186.. this takes some mins after this i reboot... now i have signed sigs in device manager....will tst it now.
