No rights to access user accounts or network config as administrator?
Hi,
sorry to disturb you guys just before christmas, but this just annoys me. My father in law who has absolutely no competence in computer stuff bought a vista-notebook 6 months ago. Now I was trying to set up a WLAN in their home, which I managed via another route, but however I discovered a weird thing.
There is only one account on the machine, which seems to be an administrators account (no password). However, I cannot access the user account control via the control panel. I also do not have access to the network administration. It just opens an empty window, which immediately closes.
Did not work in safe mode either.
Can someone help? How can I access these functions?
