DVD maker issue

I recently purchased a great video card that I hoped would help me burn DVD's quicker and it worked for about 2 weeks. I was able to load files into windows DVD maker and the program started working on the encoding and I could watche the percent completed climb immediatly and burn a full movie in approx. 20 minutes and it used to take about and hour before that.

Now something happened and I don't know what it could be but it takes most of the night and sometimes it fails.

tried a restore but I don't have more than 1 or 2 days of restore dates in the near past.

I bought another dvd burner (sata) previous was parallel, and it works fine with the bundled software but I just like the way the windows DVD maker used to work. It was less work to publish dvd's.
