Can't logon in the User Profile/Can't use system restore

Hello everyone.

I'll try to make this brief, but I am experiencing multiple problems and I would appreciate if someone could help me out with them. I've been looking around on the internet, but I haven't seen anyone with the same problem as me. Maybe someone here can enlighten me.

Ok, so when I try to logon it says "The User Profile service failed the login. User Profile cannot be loaded."

Then I went into Safe Mode, from here I tried System Restore. However, this also receives an error stating "The disk Vista 64(C: ) has errors." So I went through and tried to fix this by clicking "check the disk for errors." The problem here is when I do "schedule disk check" nothing happens. Also it mentions doing this next time I start my computer, but if this is supposed to happen after the logon screen you can see my problem...

I also noticed some answers where you can use the "regedit". I've tried to open this from the Start menu but nothing happens.

So I guess my problem lies in either getting System Restore to work or somehow fixing my User Profile so I can log in on it.

I got this computer about 2 weeks ago and I'm pretty bummed out that this is happening . As you can see I have tried to fix it but to no avail. Any suggestions or ways I could fix this would be greatly appreciated.

I had the same thing happen to me except it would sign me in as a guest user. It was my registry that got messed up and I ultimately had to renstall my Windows. Have you tried registry repair programs? If not I would look into regvac as it is the only one I trust. In my case it wouldn't help because I couldn't sign into my account.
