Cannot set default program for AVI files

Hey everyone,

I got a problem, I cannot set DivX player as a default player for AVI files.

When I right click on the AVi files it allows me to choose ""Open With"" and ""Browse"" to select the list of the program. but when I choose ""DivPlayer.exe"" to be the default program strangely it doesn't show up under ""Recommended Programs"" or '"Other Programs"".

this never happened before until i reset my computer..

does anyone know how to fix this problem?!
