How do I change this back?
I have the Vista Home Premium Edition (64bit) on my computer. It includes zip capabilities in it. This morning I downloaded a zipped file and when I went to open it a message box came up saying that Windows could not open the file and must have said do you want to change what to use to open it (have to admit I didn't read the message carefully) and just clicked yes. Now the zipped files no longer show the zip folder icon but has been changed to my Photo Shop Elements, so I guess that's what it must has gotten changed to for opening the files and as a result I can't open the zipped file. I tried doing a system restore, but it comes up with a message saying there was an unidentified error so the system restore could not complete.
My question is how do I change this back so the Vista zip programming will work again to open the files? I'm not very computer literate when it comes this kind of stuff. I don't see anything that mentions zip files in the list of default programs to use to open files, so I don't know what to do.
I would appreciate any help. Thanks.
