I understand and have used Vista "run as administrator" and "XP compatibility mode" but I have new software from Cloudeight that will not run on my primary HP Pavilion m9000t. These small programs install fine but clicking on them does nothing.
FYI, the programs run cleanly on my XP computer and on my HP laptop with Vista. I have tried installing with nothing else working in the background, tried running in Safe Mode, uninstalled several other programs that could present a conflict and wrote for advice from the publisher (who sent me direct download links for the programs). I know my Pavilion must have continuing conflicts because the boot time is horrendously slow and I am considering "starting over," but I'm interested now in finding the cause and hopefully the fix for this dilemma. Does anyone have any ideas for this situation?
