Vista SP2
I know that this is old news to most
I have been putting off doing something about the fact that SP2 will not load on my PC (Home Prem - 1.8 Duo - wireless) - Laptop is fine and took SP2 no probs - but the PC has decided that, no matter what I do...turn off all progs - disable the firewall.. all the things that the Q+A tells me to do.......
So far over the last month (I give up each time - my system tells me I'm missing an update - I fall for it) I must have watched this beast telling me it is downloaded OK and installed OK then auto shutting and ... strangely...installing updates 1 to 3 - closing down...re-opening installing updates...think I have just cracked it as it gets to 100% of item 3 for 5-10 mins ....THEN ... "reverting changes" for another half to 3 Qs of an hour......for about 4 or 5 hours overall + an age in lost production and thought time
Help!........just tell me to do it in safe mode (?)
