Kasperky Internet Sec 2009 8.0.0.506 slows down my Windows Explorer

Dear Administrator,

I installed the latest Kasperky Internet Security 2009 v8.0.0.506 on my computer and my Windows Explorer has slowed down tremendously. Whenever I right click on any folder on my desktop, it takes up to 2 minuters or more before the menus appear.

This also happens when I right click on any folder or file anywhere on my system. It also happens when I try to Delete, Copy or Cut any file or folder on my system. I just get a ".......Not Responding" message and if I wait long enough, it then responds.

When I uninstall Kasperky, everything begins to behave normally again.

I also noticed that when I Pause Protection, everything begins to behave normally again until I Enable Protection again.

I use Widows Vista Home Premium which came pre-installed on my Sony VAIO NS10/L laptop.

Can you please help me sort out this issue? It is driving me nuts.
