I have huge problems using my server as a file server.
The server is running Win7, but problem was pressent when using Vista and XP as well, the problem have not always been there, and now I have digged around so much that settings are completely screwed over.
I have 4 drives in the server
C:, D: ,E: and F
The only drive I can access from my current computer (Running Vista) is the D drive, here I can do whatever I want, but if I try to go onto any of the other drives I get "Access Denied"
I have tried going onto the drives and giving permission "Full Control" to Everone, but that do not seem to work.
My computer and the server have the same username/password.
I have tried formatting the drives.
I have tried changing owner to the username currently active
Nothing seems to work
then I tried searching for ways to reset the NTFS security permissions, but no tool for that seems to exsist.
But if someone knows a way to completely wipe a drive of all settings that would be EXTREMELY helpful, this is driving me mad
