Windows Live Messenger messages problem

Hi,
i have a problem that sometimes when i send a message the contact that it was supposed to go, never receives the message so i have to send it again. And another problem is that when i choose the repair option from the delete program-> windows live install tool (or something like that because i don't know what it is in english because i have a finnish vista.) After i choose the repair option it gives a message to me that the following programmes were fixed: Messenger. Everytime i do that it says the same. Hope you could understand.
