CHKDSK won't run as scheduled
I am using an Inspiron 531 with Home Basic. and recently installed 4GB of new memory I don't know if this caused the problem,but the scheduled scan ,scheduled with the command prompt won't scan ,as scheduled to on startup. I have tried many ways as per the tutorials on here and still can't get it to run as its supposed to. When I try(computer,properties,tools) it will get to the check box then it supposed to be the UAC OK box,it never appears,it does in other places,just not here. It will scan other drives on here but NOT the C drive,why, can ANYONE help me,I beside myself with frustration!! The electric has been knocked out several tiimes,maybe I never started it back up right,I can't it to work anyway this is it,Any help would be great,thankyou,I new at this,can you tell?
