Windows Photo gallery Help

I was wondering if someone could possibly help me out. When we go to print from our computer it prints only in black and white and not color like we want. But if you put the memory card in the printer or use a different program on the computer (except windows photo gallery that is the problem) it will print in color. I contacted the printer company and we went through several steps and it has been determined there is a problem with windows photo gallery. So I was wondering has any had this problem before or can someone please help me out? If so please let me know.
