XP wiped my Vista boot
Hi everyone,
I had Vista Business installed, but wanted to run XP as well for some other apps.
I have an Acer Travelmate (Centrino Duo, Intel chipset etc.) which comes with a "hidden" partition for Vista installation.
Installed my very own, legal XP onto drive D.
Yup, XP destroyed the Vista boot system. (I felt safe because people are always talking about how MS has changed the boot procedure for greater security etc.)
Now, having the Vista installation on your "hidden" partition means you get absolutely NO options on reinstallation. ZERO, ZILCH, NADA and all that sort of thing.
You also can apparently not run any REPAIR function!!!
Is this all really true or am I just having a very bad day.
And if true, what can I do about it???
Any help will be very much appreciated.
