Paint Shop Pro and Vista

I would like to use PSP X2 on my Vista machine.
However, After I install and launch for the first time, it will not launch again. And it will quit after a few minutes on the first launch.

I have tried to launch it as an Adminstrator. No Luck.
It will launch in Safe mode and keep going, but I can't save any work.
I have tried two different discs, from two different well known stores. Same behaviour.
I have the service pack 1 installed, and all patches I could find.
I even paid a computer guy to fix it for me, and he was stumped.

I know Photoshop and have it on my home based MAC, but I teach and the school has PSP. I wanted to learn it at home.

Any takers????

I have Vista 64 bit and had no problem installing PSP (Paint Shop Pro7) and have been using it. I'm not sure what PSP you wrote about but 7 works OK for me.
