"Open with" Regegit problem
I followed a posting to remove unwanted programs from my "Open With" programs. I used regedit and followed the path
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\ Explorer\FileExts\.extension\OpenWithList
found the .VOB extension and removed one of the entries. I then log out and checked the file.VOB and found that there was no change. I still see that the program is under the recommended section and to top it off I don't see any change under recommended programs when I make a new selection. The file changes to show the new program, but nothing changes in the "open with". However, when I log back into regedit I see there the new program that I selected. So is there a fix or did I mess it up?
