Running Vista Ultimate X64 in Virtual Machine
I have purchased a copy of Vista Ultimate 64 bit and want to run it in a Virtual machine so I can work on the Vista training kit for exam 70-620. But I get an error every time I try and do the install the error is "Attempting to load a 64-bit Application, however this cpu isnot compatibale with 64-bit mode" The machine I am trying to setup this Virtual machine on is running Ultimate 64 bit and it is working just fine. Is Virtual Machine capable of running a 64 bit OS? Is there a different Virtual software that will run a 64 bit OS? I have tried VMware and get the same error message. If not is there a way to get the 32bit version other than buying another copy? The OEM disk I have says it contains only the 64 bit version.
