yesterday I was working on my new notebook when i suddenly had an error like "application proces failed" , i was scared and i rebooted my notebook but when the load screen of vista was gone ,the following error appeard "

I tried to boot in All the possible boot modes (safe mode , safe mode without connection , safe mode with cmd) but it didn"t work . I tried with the DVD recovery tools the following things : Startup repair , system restore
I didn't work.
after i did some research i found i needed to use the "sfc /scannow" command in the cmd of the DVD revobery tools , but when I run that command it gives my this :
X:\Sources>sfc /scannow
beginning system scan. this proces will take some time.
Windows resource Protection could not perform the requested operation

my questions are now :
1. how to fix my error
2. how let run the sfc form DVD on my C:\ drive
3. can i use an external HD with vista on it to repair it ? (so can run a sfc on an other drive ?)
