I tried a few different TV programs and some worked all-right. The one that I currently use is Windows Media Center. WMC works very well, it's the one that I'd suggest because it's made FOR vista

Re: Premium TV for PC on Vista?
Premium TV for PC - Full 2009 Platinum Edition is a good software package and happens to be a popular one at that. It works rather well but like any top PC Satellite TV software, there are rare times when Vista users experience crashes. This comes while running the software to watch computer Internet TV which conflicts with Window Media Player 11. The Premium TV for PC isn't a standalone software. Therefore, it needs WMP 11 Vista (not XP) to work.

But don't become worried or confused. The merchant will have anything setup for you to download. This includes free licensed software you will need for your computer, if you don't have them installed already. You should contact the merchant prior to paying the small one-time fee with questions about what if a software-to-computer compatibility issue occurs. Worst case scenario is the merchant or you couldn't fix the problem (which is rare) and you have to request a refund from ClickBank where the Premium TV software was purchased.
