Strange combination of problems...

OK,

First, not the most computer savy. I use computers at work and home, just don't "dig" into them. That said, I'm not a total doof (just don't ask the wife).

Problems: Windows Media Player will only run as administrator; Flash player will not work in IE, websites state that I don't have it loaded and I do; Computer will not detect card media that I plug into computer; auto run for cds and other media will not detect media and open window with different programs to select for opening; Scripts/links in various programs on computer and on websites will not work and I receive a Library not Registered error; most websites display with error and most common error is Library not Registered; Music or video will not work on websites; Try system restore and it is unable restore settings due to an unspecified error; some websites will not display completely or will be slightly off; some websites will completely go blank (including the Preview Post on this site....lost this post once).

I'm sure I'm forgetting some things and/or haven't notice some.

Only things that I can remember have been done on the computer out of the norm are Firefox was downloaded about a month ago and deleted when problems started. Also a demo track from a cd done at a local recording studio was copied to the computer.

I run Norton 360 on the computer.

I'm baffled (easy to do)...
