go to system settings, add C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_7\bin; (depends on your version of JDK) to the environmental variable PATH , that should do the trick.
P.S. i use a chinese version of VISTA, so not sure how exactly these things are called. but i think you should be able to get the idea.
