Clear My Computer Folders Drop Down Menu

This has been driving me crazy. On the topmost part of the My Computer window is the following (on Vista, of course):

[Back][Forward][Drop Down1] [Computer ][Drop Down 2][Refresh][Search]

My question is, how do you clear Drop Down 2? It seems to index (random?) folders on your hard drive, only the folders it displays (a) no longer exist, and (b) are ones I don't want to show up there anyway.

The way to solve it is Control Panel -> Taskbar and Start Menu -> Start Menu tab -> Uncheck the top privacy selection, "show opened programs"
