Remote Desktop (RDP) cannot change stored name
I'm new to Vista and set up my remote desktop connection using the same procedure I used in XP. After entering my user name, the system tried to log me on with the IP/username. I went and read through the forum and found out that I needed to sign out with my domainname\username. Ok, that's fine, but I can't edit what has been stored. I've deleted creditials, etc., but no luck. I have to wait for it to error out before I can delete the IP address and sign on. In the FAQs session, under how to change your username, it simply says to create it correctly to begin with, then you won't have the problem. It's a little arrogant and it doesn't include any information on how to correct it. HELP PLEASE!
