My wifes brand new HP Pavilion Notebook will get a blue screen occassionally on reboot. It tells me Mcafees is the culprit and to run Mcafees updates but I have done that and it still does it. When I go in and clean out the Prefetch and temp folders then it stops doing it for a while until those are populated again.
I have the same Mcafees from AOL on my computer with the same Vista version and it works fine. Please advise and thanks.
Sorry it took so long to reply but I have not been on my wifes notebook since then and when I do I will find as much info as I can. The blue screen has not occured for a while but IE7 has dissappeared once since the last time. It has something to do with Microsoft C++ runtime requesting an unexpected shut down. I will get more details when I get on her notebook again.
