I can't get my computer to accept a Kingston USB Data traveler the error msg is that it cant find the driver, HELP!!!!

Hi JSMartin,

can you tell me the model of the Data traveler please.

Can you also look in the Event Viewer and post any error that relates to the Data traveler, Thanks,

Thanks for replying so fast the data traveler is a KINGSTON DT100/2GB

Hi JSMartin,

it seems that this USB Device does not need a driver to operate on Vista or XP for that matter. The only OS it needs a driver for is Win98...etc..

Can you tell me the exact error that appears on the screen. Can you also see if there are any errors in the Event Viewer relating to this USB Device. It could be that there is something wrong with your USB drivers more so than requiring drivers for the Data Traveller,
