The Telegraph's website has been crippled by hackers, shutting the site down to users for most of Monday and into Tuesday.It's believed that the site was hit by a distributed denial of service attack, leaving telegraph.co.uk IT engineers battling to keep the service.The attack began around 9am, but appeared to have been fixed by 11am when the site became accessible again. However, around 2pm the site went offline again.
