Need help with error when installing HP Photosmart all in one printer
Hello,
I am in need of some help! I tried to install a new HP Photosmart all in one printer on my computer and I received an error during installation. I did some trouble shooting and found that it had something to do with the atl.dll file. (error said failed to register) So I followed the HP support help. When I did this I received another error that said
"The module c:\windows\system32\atl.Dll was loaded but the call to Dll RegisterServer failed with error code OX80020009"
The one thing I did notice when I was troubleshooting was the atl.dll file in my computer says it is an XP atl.dll. I think this might be the problem. I have Vista on my computer; I have never had XP on this computer, so I am not sure how it got there as an XP file.
I had no problems with my previous printer. However the previous printer was a cheap and pretty basic printer.
I am just not sure what to do at this point and I really need my printer. Is there someone who can help me with this problem?
