How do I add MS Office Document Image Writer as a printer?
MS Office Document Image Writer (MODI) was a printer option in Windows XP; it saved scanned and online documents as .MDI files. Vista offers something called Windows XPS Document Writer.
I loaded MS Office 2003, which has MODI and its driver, but Vista didn't recognize MODI. I tried a couple of suggested solutions posted on other websites, such as (1) removing and then adding back MODI driver from Control Panel "Uninstall/Change Programs" list, and (2) adding Generic Printer with MODI port, but I could not get those solutions to work for me. Solution 1 did not add MODI. Solution 2 did not offer MODI driver on list of driver options of Generic Printer.
Any sugggestions?
