Vista Network/Internet Problem
Hi,

Can anybody help with my networking problem. I have a PC running vista connected to a router (wired) with only one port for an ethernet cable. I want to connect my laptop to the internet via a shared internet connected (wired or wireless). I am not sure how I can do this as my one ethernet port on the PC is used for the internet connection so cannot be used for networking with the laptop and as the router has only one port I cannot use this either (the ISP only allow one PC connected to it). I also tried used a firewire cable but Vista does not support this. I tried using another router with wireless & more ports but the ISP will only connect to their router.

Has anybody any ideas/solutions ?

Thanks

Re: Vista Network/Internet Problem
I presume the router dials up itself and maintains the connection.

You need a network hub or switch - get 4 port or 8 port , conect the router to the hub and your computwrs to the hub.

That should be all there is to it.
