Hi all,
can anyone help me with this issue? I've got 3 computers, a DSL modem and a NETGEAR WGR614 v7
wireless router.
Two PCs physically connected to the DSL router, and a wireless notebook. everything is configured fine in the router. All 3 PC's can surf the internet.
Each PC has it's IP static
192.168.1.2 - Main PC running Vista Ultimate
192.168.1.3 - Son's laptop running Windows Vista Home Premium
192.168.1.4 - Other son's PC running XP pro
Let's say my LAN Gateway IP is 192.168.x.x
All 3 PC's can ping this IP
I set port forwarding in the router for port 80 to point to 192.168.1.2
All the 3 PCs names and IPs are shown in "Attached Devices" whithin router configuration page
from Vista Ultimate PC I can ping fine my LAN Gateway; I can Ping the other PC that is physically connected to router; but I can't ping the wireless PC.
more strange is that I can't ping the Vista Ultimate PC within the PC itself, "192.168.1.2" and other PCs can't ping the IP too.
I can ping the loopback, localhost, and 127.0.0.1 but not the attributed IP: "192.168.1.2"
disabling IPv6 does no changes.
the router shows that the IP is attributed to Vista Ultimate PC, the Vista Ultimate PC is connected to intenet, from Vista Ultimate PC I can connect to my work Terminal Server.
when I ping Vista Ultimate PC within the PC itself, I get request timed out
I would like these 3 PCs be able to connect to each other, share files between each PCs, Ping each PCs without any problem.
Any help would be appreciated.
