With AHCI enabled, system restore doesn't work properly
With AHCI enabled, system restore doesn't work properly
When I reinstalled Vista Ultimate, I turned on AHCI in the Bios to support my SATA hard drive, Now I notice that System Restore is unable to find any available drives. Tried turning off AHCI, running it in IDE mode, and Sys Restore was able to find a drive. Doesn't Vista Ultimate fully support AHCI and SATA? If it does, what's up? Thanks.
this is not exactly your problem but seems somewhat related..
