Conventional vs mini keyboards
Hi,
I am thinking of changing the standard keyboard with a keypad to the right for a minikeyboard without the keypad.
I am thinking of doing this because I get discomfort in my right shoulder when resting my arm to the right of the keypad. A minikeypad will let me me get my right arm closer to the main keyborrd (less strain). I use a mouse to the left.
Am I right in thinking that in addition to a minikeyboard being more ergonomic (no keypad, uses less space, more easily positioned, etc.), that it is a lot more modern since people generally have little use for the keypad?
I have also noticed that general keyboards tend to have depressed keys, but laptops and minikeyboards have flat keys. Why is this? what are the advantages and disadvantages?
What are the advantages/disadvantages of mini vs general keyboards. The alphabetic area will be the same size in both cases.
Thanks
