DVD CD ROM DRIVE NOT PLAYING MUSIC CDs
I have a Thinkpad T61 with Vista Business Service Pack 2 (32 bit), running with 4 GB. It has a Mat****a DVD CD player (Mat****a DVD-RAM UJ-852 ATA Device). I used to be able tp play DVDs as well as music CDs.
Now it doesn't play music CDs. I have tried many CDs and none seem to work. I tried using those same CDs on another laptop and they worked fine.
When I click on the unit it says "E:\ not accessible. The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error."
If I insert instead a DVD in the player, I don't get such an error.
Also, I have Real Player, Windows Media, and QuickTime players installed. All of them give me the same error ("E:\ not accessible...") when I try to open the music CD manually from the players.
Any advice?
