DVD drive disappeared!!
Hello everyone,
I'm new to this and have a bit of a limited knowledge of computers and stuff so excuse the "simple" terms.
I have a Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Lithium 1718 notebook and I have Windows Vista Home Premium. I bought it 2 years ago in October.
A few weeks ago, I tried to burn a CD but Real Player told me there was no CD Burner detected. So I tried to play a CD and nothing happened and after a bit of investigation, my DVD drive seems to have disappeared from the Device Manager list.
I tried doing that thing where you go on Start, Accessories, Run, and enter Regedit and go to that bit where you delete the upper and lower filters but I didn't have any upper or lower filters to delete so nothing happened there.
I would be really grateful for any ideas please.
