Mat****a DVD/CDRW Not working

Since I'm new to this forum I'll start out by saying, Hello to everyone.

I've purchased a new vista laptop, I've never really used Vista and am still very used to XP. The CD drive does not show up in My Computer and when I enter the Device Manager, the drive does show up but with a little "!". When I click on it the following error message shows up:

"Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware because a previous instance of the device driver is still in memory. (Code 38)"

The CD driver model is Mat****a DVD/CDRW UJDA775 ATA

I clicked "check for solutions but it didn't work. Help me please!

Hi Strashki,

sorry for not getting back to you earlier

First of all see if you can find the latest drivers from Radarsync

Then go into safe mode and remove the Drive from Device manager.

Reboot and when asked for the driver you can select the new one,

any problems you know where we are,
