SP-2 Install Problems & Questions!

Hello I Have A H.P 9550 Phenom Quad 2.4 64 Bit +7 Gb Ram Vista Home Premium Factory Built!
I Have Tried 2 Times to install SP.2 and Each time it Installs Steps one+two and Restarts and then Stays Stuck at the Startup Screen Forever Saying installing Step 3... 0 % Complete But Never Finishes!
So I Have had to uninstall it Twice! WHY Does this Happen?
I Have Read Many Blogs From Reputable Sites! Stating other Users have had the same or Problem or Drivers or USB Devices Wouldn't Work anymore Etc!
They All Seem to Say DON'T install SP-2 Why Do I Need it ?
All New P.C'S Still Come with SP-1
So What's the Bottom Line?

Which country are you located in? This souns more like it should have a proper support incident to investigate why its not working...

i,m in So Cal u.s.a I Believe the Problem Would Be Possibly Security Programs Didn't Shut Down Completely!
However I Really Question the Need to Upgrade to SP-2 at all?
after all the Problems People Have Reported and all the Bad Press about it Plus New P.C'S Still Come With SP-1 I think i,m Gonna Avoid The Nightmere's and Stay With SP-1 and Keep Doing the Security and other important Updates! thanks Phil
