Network connection failure after each succesful update

Every time the Windows / Microsoft Update does some updates - completes them
succesfully - the network connection speed resets to 10 Mb and the network
does not work, until repaired from network connections. The updates are done
automatically, and this failure repeats every time after any update is done
(and computer restarted). I am using Windows XP SP3.

Tip: Only obtain driver updates you really need from the device or computer
manufacturers' download page, not Windows Update.

Change your Automatic Update setting to the Notify Only option then never
approve any driver updates.
