Can't Download Updates - Blue bar hangs at 0%
Hi Guys,
I cannot download the windows updates for vista 64-bit. I get to the part
where it's starting to download, and then the blue bar just circles and
circles and then eventually hangs my whole computer up. Never had this
problem before, can connect to the internet, updated last on 3/6.
My computer started acting very strange the last few days, won't shut down
regularly, keeps hanging when I try so I need to hard power off. Programs
are running slow, especially control panel type stuff. I've searched it for
Viruses (using AVG) and spyware/malware using Windows Defender, to no avail.
One of the updates I can't download (#4 of 4) seems like it might address
some recently exploited hole in the code, but I don't know if it will fix my
problems or not.
If more info is needed please let me know, thanks for any advice!

RE: Can't Download Updates - Blue bar hangs at 0%
It would be a good idea to scan.
I recommend downloading and installing MalwareBytes' Antimalware (MBAM) and
SUPERAntiSpywaяe (SAS).
Do a full scan with MalwaяeBytes' and SUPERAntiSpywaяe.
<http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php>
Reboot

<http://www.superantispyware.com/>
Reboot

The programs are free. (There is a paid version but you don't need to buy it
to remove malware.)

Good luck

RE: Can't Download Updates - Blue bar hangs at 0%
I had similar experience, but worse end result- it won't leave the 0% 3 of 3
screen.
I have tried safe mode, restart normal, default settings with no changes.
Can't get on line or anywhere else.
