error 646

while i am trying to install updates for security updates for microsoft
works 8, the error message code 646 comes .pls let me know what to do.

I have been getting the same error msg code 646 for months on microsoft
officel. I don't use that program, so have uninstalled it today, but still
getting the errrors code. no solution thru microsoft help section.
