Problems installing Microsoft Updates (esp Service Pack 3)

Hi, Since Novmber I've had trouble installing Microsoft Updates (inc Service
Pack 3).
I get this message:-
"The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is
unavailable. Click OK to try again or enter an alternative path to a folder
containing the installation package PRO11.MSI in the box below"

I know very little about computers. I also get a message about neding to
find PRO11.MSI if I try to open Excel (Works 2003). It asks me to insert a
disk but my computer hasn't got a Works 2003 disk. Might it be on a
combination installation disk of some sort?
Any thoughts?

Well - since you gave information, not complete information, but some - one
can assume you are not speaking of Windows XP Service Pack 3 but Microsoft
Office 2003 Service Pack 3.

Correct?

If so - my suggestion is to uninstall your Microsoft Office 2003 and reboot
and install it back from scratch using the media you do have. You mention
"Excel (Works 2003)" --> and I did not know Excel ever came with Works - it
sort of defeats the reasoning behind Works after a certain point if the
Microsoft Office products can all be gotten with the Microsoft Works
product. ;-)
