Windows Update installation

I have about 20-30 updates but computer will not install them. They will
download but cannot seem to finish installing. Also the clock will not stay
set at right time if that has anything to do with it. Please help me with
some info how to get my updates to install as I am worried about needed
fixes. I have Windows Vista on a laptop computer. Help.

Does the laptop's time remain incorrect when the system is plugged in or
when it's running on battery power ?
Until you resolve the incorrect time issue, updates will *not* install.
