logitech z-10 speaker problem

after the latest windows upgrades were installed (windows 7, 32 bit.), my
computer no longer recognizes the speakers which are connected to the
computer via usb. I tried a system restore but that did not help.....does any
one have this problem...any ideas are appreciated..
