RE: Windows Updates Failed

I have been getting an error where the automatic updates to my system fail.

There are 4 updates that have continuously been trying to run...the system
goes through installation, reboots my machine and when it restarts I am told
the updates failed. I have also tried shutting down to install the
updates...goes through installation at shutdown, configuration at start up,
then when I log in the same message that the updates failed.

I am running Windows 7 Ultimate (64-bit) cleanly installed about 3 months ago.

The updates are:

Visual Studio 2005 - Security update for Visual C++ 2005 Service Pack 1
Redistributable Package (KB973923)

Windows 7 - Update for win 7 for x64 based systems (KB976972)
Windows 7 - Update for win 7 for x64 based systems (KB977074)

Office 2007 - Update for Microsoft outlook 2007 Junk email filter (KB977839)

Anything I can do to make these load successfully? I will try running gone
at a time and see if any succeed...
